Elsa Jeandedieu

French artist Elsa Jean de Dieu explores the dialogue between architectural permanence and the

fluidity of emotion.

Based in Hong Kong, Jeandedieu has established a distinctive tactile language focused on the sensory experience of space

through meticulously crafted textures and immersive murals.

Inspired by the raw vitality of the city and the structural elegance of design and haute couture, her work harmonizes high-end luxury with organic warmth.

Elsa encourages the viewer to slow down and reconnect with their physical senses; her work is about cymatics, introspection, and reflection, rendering the invisible hum of the universe into a physical, tactile form. Her patterns and colour palettes vibrate at a frequency of peace and

stability, exploring frequencies that can physically calm the human nervous system: the viewer’s lightown internal frequency begins to harmonize with the steady, grounded rhythm of the art.

Born and raised in southern France, her practice is anchored in classical French foundation in the decorative arts, where she mastered the manipulation of plaster, pigment, and gold leaf. Her technical rigor, forged during her formative years at Atelier Lucien Tourtoulou in Paris, allows her to approach surfaces with an unparalleled balance of precision and delicacy.

With a career spanning two decades across global metropolises from Paris to Shanghai, Elsa has built a robust portfolio of site-specific commissions for luxury icons including CHANEL, Louis Vuitton, Patek Philippe, Van Cleef, The Aubrey, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and Capella. Her versatility has made her a premier collaborator for world-renowned designers suchas Alexis Dupont, André Fu and Joyce Wang, and has been featured in VOGUE HK, The New York Times Style Magazine, Wallpaper*, ELLE, Home Journal and The Sunday Times, cementing her position as a leading voice in Asia’s contemporary tactile arts.
