Branded Signage
Dismantled road signs are possessed by logos of luxury brands, changing the values and functions of both. How will the audience process the originally mismatched meanings which overlap here?
Road signs show directions, orders, cautions, even limitations. When they appear on matching occasions, they inevitably become the focus, showing its single function. Oppositely, when road signs are removed, the purest value is lost right away
After being dubbed with logos of luxury brands, the road signs appear in alternative forms for viewing, the lost values are now increased with the credibility of those brands; the brands are, however, not habitually appearing on their own products
Such unmatched allows the audience to rethink the original value and function of objects, or even gives a new meaning to the objects
