COLOURS OF HOPE

Eclectic and talented, Gildas Le Gurun was first a Captain of merchant navy on French cable ships. He thus travelled the "7 seas" as a curious observer, anxious to grant a precise and delicate look at the multiple uses of the world.

Having returned to Quiberon, Brittany, 20 years ago, Gildas Le Gurun devotes himself to his passion, photography, with a clear predilection for the world he comes from, that of the sea. He excels at it! Whether he lingers on the smallest details of the careening of the huge gas tankers in the port of Brest or on simple beach scenes hidden from the apparent seaside banality, Gildas Le Gurun is always haunted by the beautiful world of the sea.

His digital photography were awarded with many prizes while participating at both national and international competitions (in Brittany: Quiberon, Brest, Ploemeur, Larmor-Plage, Le Guilvinec, Paris).
