Vincent Collin

Vincent Collin is a French designer whose refined style is marked by a rare sensitivity to materials. Immersed in art and objects from an early age, he developed a discerning eye through years spent between flea markets and museums.

After an initial career in communications, he trained alongside Olivier Gagnère, and in 1995 launched his first collection of ceramics, lighting, and furniture for prestigious locations such as French embassies abroad, luxury hotels and private homes worldwide.

His work, characterized by a mastered simplicity, striving for purity of line, reflects a deep appreciation for essential lines, noble materials—such as bronze, wrought metal, and ceramic—and subtle balances.

In 1999, he and Frédérique Caillet took over the Virebent porcelain manufactory, breathing new life into it by blending artisanal craftsmanship with innovation. His creations, poised between tradition and modernity, merge formal poetry with contemporary rigor.

The concept of form is emphasized by the absence of any superfluous decoration: the hand-applied finishes and patinas give each object that extra something that makes it unique and brings it closer to the realm of sculpture.

His ceramic vases combine curves and contrasts in a quest for forms that defy the laws of balance.
