Tiphaine Beausseron

Tiphaine Beausseron is a French photographer who lives between Hong Kong and Aix-en-Provence (France). Her work explores the themes of emotional ties and what deeply unites people, despite absence or distance.
Through poetic minimalism, she invites the viewer to take part in the narrative process in a way that is both intimate and deeply personal.
Her unique background - from law and journalism to photography, enriched by a multicultural life and her role as a mother - nourishes an intuitive artistic practice. Her still-lifes adopt a refined aesthetic simplicity to reveal the discreet poetry of the ordinary.
Employing a subtle language of visual symbols and meditative studies, Tiphaine Beausseron's work manifests itself as a visual diary of anchoring, love and emotional ties.
Her still lifes combine the natural simplicity of Minimalism, the delicate tones of Pictorialism and the nuanced play of chiaroscuro, evoking the Baroque while remaining rooted in a Modernist sensibility.
At a time when solitude is an endemic global phenomenon, when interconnection is more virtual than real, in an age of artificial intelligence from which virtual friends emerge, Tiphaine Beausseron's photographs ask the viewer about the place we want to give to this invisible link that nourishes our souls.
